before yesterday, the last time i worked was on new year eve. it was my happiest time there. i've made so many new friends, i've learnt so many new stuff, plus plus plus.. and because of the special occasion, we were kept busy to the extreme the whole of time. but i enjoyed it. i really did. but well, yesterday was my saddest at work. there was a big shuffle in the management, therefore affecting us.(1) our place was divided into two, for another existing restaurant to occupy.(2) as the opposite (allied)restaurant was closed down, their staff would be transfered over to us. hence, our working slots would definitely be affected; less no. of working days per week.(3) as to what i heard, the whole shuffle has taken away majority of our executives. out of 6 or 7 (i think), 5 were retrenched.(4) a few of our colleagues who were on attachment from the philippines are to leave soon.(5) many of the chefs allocated to us on new year eve were here only because of the expected roaring business. i dont think they're going to back anymore. :(all was but bad news. besides these, business wasnt good yesterday.well, this was the main talk amongst the staff yesterday. but one thing im glad ; this executive who employed me was one of the 2(?) surviving ones. as he was the one who took me into this job which i very much liked, and so, had a chance to experience, there is this little twinge of gratefulness towards him. okay, at least there's still this source of comfort, out of those main demoralizing stuffs.anw, there's still work later on. evening shift today. i hope business would be a little better later on. :xwhat a way to start the new year. :(
